New Rules in 2012 in Blue.

2012 Salary Cap is 20.0

Players Draft

  • Draft a maximum of 12 Players from current PGA-America Roster, with no limits on drafting International Players or others players which hold a zero value.
  • The maximum number of teams participating in a single draft is limited to 14
  • The draft will follow a standard serpentine order, 1-14,14-1,1-14,etc. with 2 minutes per selection.
  • Each team will be allotted the amount of draft dollars that equals a formula based on the previous year's moneylist.  The salary cap is the Average Millionaire Player's Salary multiplied by 7 and added to the Average Player's Salary (over $100K) multiplied by 4.  The salaries on the Money List will be rounded to the nearest $100,000, but no rounding will be used in the formula for the Salary cap.  2007 Example:  107 Millionaire's with an average salary of $1.99 x 7 = $13.94 added to 228 players with an average salary of $1.16 x 5 = $5.78 or $13.94 + $5.78 = $19.72 or $19.7
  • Draft order will be the reverse order of the previous year's final standings after the fall finish with new teams first based on random draw.
  • The draft value of each Player will be according to the previous year's PGA Money List.  Any player which has not made more than $50,000, is not on the list or is listed on the PGA Non-member Money List will hold no dollar value.
  • The Year will be composed of four periods, with the first three ending with a supplemental draft.  (West Coast Swing, Spring, Summer, and Fall Finish)
  • The order of each draft will follow the overall team standings, with the last place team getting the first pick.  The supplemental drafts will be 1-14, 1-14.
  • Each Team may drop a maximum of two players per supplemental draft and maintain a maximum roster of upto 12 players.
  • Each Team will keep the leftover money not spent in the initial players draft and add the draft value of any waived players for use in the supplemental draft.  A Team's total roster value at any time in the season may not exceed the initial draft dollar allotment.

Scoring

  • Each team must turn in a roster of 6 players for each Tournament.
  • Each team must designate which foursome, of their 6 player field, will be used for scoring after the cut. The Reduced Field Tournaments must designate a twosome after the cut or after the second round.  If no designation is made prior to the first tee time of the Tournament's third round, the first four players making the cut will be used in order they were turned in.  Note:  Two Tournaments have five rounds with the cut after the third round.
  • A team’s 6 player field will carryover to the next Tournament if a new field is not turned in prior to the first tee time of the new Tournament.  The team may designate which 4 players will be scored prior to the first tee time of the third round.  If no designation is made prior to the first tee time of the Tournament's third round, the first four players, which made the cut, will be used in order they were turned in.
  • The Tournament score of each player on a team's foursome is added for the team score.
  • For each hole in a team’s foursome or player that does not play or make the cut, will receive the same score as the highest score of the Tournament plus one stroke.
  • A player the is eliminated from the playing field after the cut with an "MDF", "Made the cut Did not Finish", will receive the same stroke total as the highest score of the Tournament.
  • The lowest team score wins the individual Tournament.
  • On weeks where there is a Reduced Field Tournament there will also be a regular Tournament played.  Sometimes two regular tournaments occur on the same weekend, one major and one minor.  Both occur at the same time, but are played and scored as separate Tournaments.  Do not combine fields.
  • All team scores are accumulated for year’s end score, where the lowest score wins.  The Tour Championship is the final tournament for determining the champion of the MOVFSA Cup.
  • Each team is given two Mulligan at the start of the year to use at anytime throughout the year.  A Mulligan is used to cover the owner's major loss of concentration on a Tournament where your clubhouse Players would have won the Tournament for you, if you would have only placed them on your lineup.  A Mulligan must be turned in to the Commissioner before the start of the next Tournament.  A Mulligan allows you to adjust your entire foursome, even to the extent of adding players not on the original six player lineup.
  • Each team must enter and post a score for all five majors and all playoff tournaments.  Each team is given 7 withdraws and may be used to withdraw from any tournament except for the five majors and the playoff tournaments.  A withdraw must be turned in at the cut of the tournament to be used.

Tiebreaker

  • In the case of a tie during an individual Tournament, the win will be split between all tied teams.
  • In the case of a tie in the year end point total, the team with the highest total PGA money winnings, found at the top right corner of each team's roster on the league roster sheet, will be awarded the tiebreaker.
